Compassionate Tee-Shop have launched a brand new t-shirt campaign for World Animal Day on 4th October – to help raise awareness and vital funds to save the world’s most critically endangered dolphin – the Maui’s Dolphin.
With a choice of two awesome designs – one with a striking campaign message to ‘Save Maui’s Dolphin!’ – and the other cool infographic style ’63 Maui’s’ tee illustrating the shocking actual number of Maui’s dolphins left in the wild. These tees are available exclusively at Teespring in aid of Whale and Dolphin Conservation for 3 weeks only – until Wednesday 25th October 2017.
More about our Maui’s Dolphin campaign
The Maui’s Dolphin, also known as the North Island Hector’s Dolphin, lives in the North Island part of New Zealand and is the world’s smallest and rarest dolphin.
In 2017 there are believed to be only 63 individual Maui’s dolphins left in the wild.
Accidental entanglement in fishing nets and gear is the biggest global threat to whales, dolphins and porpoises. Known as ‘bycatch’, this unintentional capture kills hundreds of thousands of individuals every year. Maui’s dolphins get entangled and die in trawl and set nets – faster than the rate at which they can can reproduce.
In just a few years the Maui’s dolphin may be gone forever. We cannot let this happen! We need these fishing methods to stop in the areas where these dolphins live. We need to ban the use of set netting and traditional trawling for good.
50% of our profits from every t-shirt sold will be donated to Whale and Dolphin Conservation.
WDC work tirelessly to create a world where every whale and dolphin is safe and free, and they are currently campaigning to help end deaths from fishing gear.
Our Compassionate Tee-Shop Save the Maui’s campaigns t-shirts are available exclusively at Teespring in aid of WDC for 3 weeks only – until Wednesday 25th October 2017 – so order yours now them while you can. (They’re NOT available from our main Compassionate Tee-Shop). The more t-shirts we sell, the more profit we will make on each sale as well (starting at approx. £2.50 donation to WDC per tee), so every tee counts!
Tees are available in a range of colours – for men and women, with organic options available.
Please help us reach our goal of 63 t-shirt sales to save the 63 Maui Dolphins left in the wild, and help their population to recover, for good…
